For Goodness Sake

Sometimes when I awake, there is an almighty mountain and a lake

Standing between my faith and my dreams, for goodness sake

But no matter how impossible ‘the way’, may at first seem

know that it can’t stop the growth or expansion within, that enables me to create

Creativity is the energy that makes everything feel so deeply, wonderfully and deliciously real

And even though sometimes when I awake

A mighty river may appear, slap-bang-in-the-middle

Gushing between my faith and my dreams

Despite all that I have seen, it doesn’t stop me from staying true to my ideals

It doesn’t stop the inexplicable sense of ease and flow, or the zeal

And so, I give thanks that the Earth still turns and the Sun still shines

The Birds still sing and I feel fine, with all of life’s appeal

And even though when I awake, it might take, a moment or so, to align

I know, that a joyous attitude is simply just another ‘state-of-mind’

A state of being that I can choose, at any given point in time

Sublimely independent from anything observably external

Because ultimately, we are all creators of our own realities

Each of us, from a source of energy that is always pure and eternal

All one has to do, is allow the reality most desired, unto oneself reveal

For attached to every thought and feeling is a physical material sequel

Therefore it’s helpful to orientate one’s most-frequent ‘point-of-focus’ in the vicinity of all things desirous and pleasurable

Lest one unwittingly creates unwanted realities, going around and around in circles…
