Evolutionary Spectrum

My feelings are that no matter where one is on the evolutionary spectrum, all beings are manifestations of spirit and therefore have value, and deserve ‘respect’, regardless of whether or not a person has yet to figure out ‘how’ to give it to themselves first.

Ultimately, what we are all here to learn is the concept of ‘Self-Love‘, which essentially is the befriending of oneself through the softening of one’s internal dialogue, turning the ever-present tyrannical ‘inner-critics’, voices of doubt, into inner ‘best friends’, so that the continual running commentary becomes a supportive inner-dialogue that enables one to love others through the simple nurturing of ones own inner-resources, the building of a natural inner-support system that is solid and robust enough to not take anyone, or anything, as personal – in particular to not take other people’s woundedness, brokenness, or pain personally – and instead to have compassion, by rekindling a thread of connection with all beings, all creatures and the natural world.

And also not just loving “the one“, but extending compassion to all, including the ‘unlovable’ for this is real ‘peace on earth’ – for ‘judgment’ is simply the absence of compassion, and ‘cruelty’ is the absence of love, or rather a lack of awareness to the presence of love, for one cannot cast a judgment, or be cruel to another, if one does not already extend these conditions unto one’s own self, for how we treat others is always an extension of how one’s own internal dialogue speaks to oneself; a voice that one has become overly, habitually familiar with and accustomed to, so that it becomes automatic and we are no longer aware of it going on in the background, just like a radio that’s been left on, and we normalise it. Although what it may be saying to us may be anything but normal.

A sense of reconnection and compassionate self-dialogue begins within one’s own cranium in the form of a balanced mind, ie: both left and right hemispheres working together in tandem. Engaging the right hemisphere engages the compassion of the heart to temper the single mindedness of the left-brained ego, and reconnect us with spontaneous humour, innocence, joy, enthusiasm and the natural order of things.

And from one’s capacity to generate self-love comes the ability to manifest the ‘right‘ life-partner. Without self-love one will magnetise other partners who will help us to discern what one doesn’t want, in preparation to identify what one does truly want. But only by being truly authentic without guile, without pre-desired outcomes and by cultivating the qualities within oneself first that one desires to receive from another.
